Of course, the library has books, computers and A/V materials for teachers and students to use, but this is only part of what we offer. We aim to be the link between our patrons (students and teachers alike) and the information they need. Come in to the library to discuss how we can all become more effective users of ideas and information. How can my classes come to the library?
Come to the library and sign up in the notebook near the circulation desk. Please indicate what you are going to be doing and what you would like Ms. Wolfe to have prepared. If you need to use the computers, please list how many you need. (We frequently have more than one class in here at a time and need to know how many computers you need.)What if I want to plan a project using the library?
See Ms. Wolfe to discuss any ideas you might have. One of the most important roles of the library media specialist is instructional partner. You can also fill out the assignment alert form and place it in our box.
How can I get my students to read?In the scheduling notebook, sign your class up to check out books. We also have old issues of magazines for class libraries. Let us know if you would like certain books or types of books ready for easy check out. We also gladly conduct booktalks, and are eager to set up booktalks from the public library.

Students may need to copy and paste
from the Web. We have a handout
with instructions for copying and pasting. The handout includes
directions for citing the source of the information.
The American Association of School Librarians names collaboration as one of the most important parts of the library media program. Please see Ms. Wolfe so we can plan a unit or activity together or if you want to co-teach!Please remember that many activities are also posted on the Library Media tab of our e-organization in Blackboard.
