School System’s Mission

The mission of the Prince George’s County Public Schools is to ensure that all students acquire knowledge and develop skills and understandings that will enable them to become productive citizens and lifelong learners. This mission is best accomplished through a structure of communities that are committed to children and that are characterized by strong instructional leadership, high expectations for success for all students, an emphasis on teaching for learning, a safe and orderly school environment, frequent monitoring of students’ progress with appropriate instructional adjustments to students’ programs, high levels of accountability, responsive supporting services, and extensive and meaningful parent/community involvement.

I will be at my bus stop five to ten minutes before the bus arrives.

I will stay off private property while
waiting at the bus stop.

I will only ride the bus assigned to me.

I must remain seated when the bus is in motion and talk in a quiet voice.
