Graduation Requirements

 

Students in the public secondary schools of Prince George’s County are encouraged to develop an educational plan which will allow them to be successful in their school work and be interesting to them.  They are encouraged to participate in a four-year, high school program so they may become better prepared for college and/or acquire job skills.

 

Students in high school must earn the following credits in order to graduate:

3 Social Studies
3 Mathematics (Must include Algebra 1 and Geometry)
3 Science
1/2 Physical Education
1/2 Health
1 Fine Arts
1 Technology Education
Program Choices
  • 2 credits in Foreign Language (Must be same language)
    or
  • 2 credits in an approved Advanced Technology sequence
    or
  • Complete a State approved Career and Technology Completer Program
3+ Electives
