PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE        

December 13, 2007

Dear Parents:

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the Oxon Hill High School Community.  My name is Deborah A. Franklin, and I have been appointed as Interim Principal of Oxon Hill High School.  My appointment has come about as a result of Dr. Roney Wynn's request for administrative reassignment.

I have served the students of Prince George's County Public Schools for the past 29 years, working in various capacities such as classroom teacher, program coordinator and assistant principal.  I have always enjoyed working to assist young people in their development, and assisting staff and parents in building strong relationships to ensure the success of our children.

I am particularly pleased and proud of my new assignment because of my association with our community for the past 10 years.  We have a long-standing tradition of excellence both locally and nationally.  I look forward to working with students, parents, and other members of our school community to continue assisting student in meeting our high expectations.
