Purpose:
| The Oxon Hill Community Pediatric Center is an extension of the Oxon Hill High School Wellness Center. The center is intended to provide primary health care, dental services, and health education services to the uninsured young citizens of Prince George’s County between the ages of 3 and 21 years. Patients are assisted in obtaining medical insurance coverage and linkages to permanent medical homes, in support of healthy lifestyles and academic success, using a community approach. |
Staff:
| The Community Pediatric Center staff includes a nurse practitioners/site manager, counselors, office manager/medical assistant, dentist (one evening per week), dental hygienist (one evening per week), physicians (one day per week) and an insurance eligibility specialist. |
