Your son or daughter may have the opportunity to access and use the world wide electronic network called Internet. The reason for using the Internet is to participate in a curricular project developed by your child’s teachers. There are hundreds of resources on the Internet. Students will find libraries, government agencies, universities, discussion groups, software, technical information, as well as the millions of people who are a part of this world wide network. With access to computers and people all over the world, there is also the potential availability of materials that some people may find objectionable. Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) has taken precautions to ensure that student access information consistent with the goals of our instructional program. However, on a global network it is impossible to limit/control access to all materials. It is important that you and your child become familiar with the Acceptable Use Agreement published in the Prince George’s County Public Schools Technology Plan, "Realizing the Vision".
