PERRYWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL VS.

MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK POLICE

We are at it again. Who is going to win? The annual basketball game between Perrywood Elementary School Panthers and Maryland-National Capital Park Police is quickly approaching. The game will be held on March 16^th at 7:30 p.m. in the Kettering/Largo Community Center and promises to be a great family night out. If you are interested in playing in the tournament, please contact Tammy Matthews @ 301-218-3040 ASAP. Admission: $1.00 (Students) and $3.00 (Adults).

SWEETHEART DANCE

You don’t need a sweetheart to attend. In February, Perrywood Elementary students in grades 3^rd thru 5^th are cordially invited to come out for a night of dancing, refreshments, and fun. Please ensure that you are there to supervise your child during this event. Contact Lisa Boykin @ 202-927-8539 if you are interested in assisting with this event. The dance will be on February 9^th at 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Perrywood Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room. The cost to attend the dance is $3.00 per child. This is a free event for parents and guardians.

SPRING CARNIVAL/FAMILY DAY

Perrywood Elementary School PTA, teachers, and staff are sponsoring a Spring Carnival/Family Day on April 21, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. So come out and have some fun… Enjoy a day of games, prizes, food, vendor tables, health screenings, and more with your child! All students must be accompanied by an adult. If you are interested in selling non-food items (e.g., clothing, flea market items), please contact Lisa Boykin @ 202-927-8539.

Jean Day for PTA

Throughout the 2006-07 School Year, Perrywood PTA will host a “Jean Day for PTA.” During this day, Perrywood Elementary students can attend school without wearing their mandatory school uniform. The students are allowed to properly dress in the attire of their choice. The next “Jean Day for PTA” will be held on January 26^th. Only students of paid Perrywood Elementary School PTA members and Perrywood Elementary School staff members are allowed to participate in the event for this day. If you are not a paid PTA member and are interested in participating in “Jean Day for PTA “ on January 26^th, please join the PTA prior to this event. Membership fees are $10.00 for one parent/staff member and $20.00 for two parents/staff members.

State of Perrywood Address
February 6, 2007 7:00PM

In February, Perrywood Elementary School Principal Ms. Deborah Stokes will deliver her first annual address on the State of Perrywood Elementary School. Join other parents, staff, and community members as Ms. Stokes address issues that have an impact on the quality of education received at Perrywood Elementary School. This meeting will take place on February 6^th at 7:00 p.m. in Perrywood Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room.
