Holiday Service Project
After reading different
versions of the tale The Gingerbread Boy, children completed story maps. The
children also made "gingerbread chains" to send to the babies in intensive care
at Children's Hospital.
Here are two pictures of the tree decorated with the
gingerbread chains made by Mrs. Garner's students. They were sent by the staff at
Children's Hospital (click on picture to see full size.)
Students were also excited to receive the
following card (click on either picture to see it full size.)
In another fun activity, two special
visitors from Children's Hospital came to help the class decorate holiday cookies (click
for full size.)
