Spinomadness

by Rory

Spinosaurus means "spiny lizard". It was called Spinosaurus because of the spines on its back. These spines made a fin like a sail. The sail might have been brightly colored. This might have helped it get a mate. The sail also helped the Spinosaurus warm up or cool off. The Spinosaurus walked on two legs.

It was over 40 feet long. It weighed over 4 tons. It was a meat-eater. It had a large head and large, sharp teeth. Its arms were smaller than its legs. It could run fast.

The Spinosaurus lived in the Cretaceous period. Spinosaurus fossils have been found in Africa.

I like Spinosaurus because it has a sail and is a meat-eater.
