Port Towns Elementary School offers an
educational program that fosters a love of
learning while providing serious instruction
in the academic disciplines such as math,
reading, and technology.
Port Towns School is beginning its
second year as a neighborhood school and has grown
significantly over
the past year. Our student body is
very culturally diverse and consists of pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade. We
have a dedicated faculty and staff and we
are located in the heart of Prince George's
County in Bladensburg, Maryland
The needs of children and the importance
of an equitable and excellent educational
environment are as compelling as they have
ever been. Pot Towns Elementary is pleased
to have students and families who are
committed to the mission of the School and
who will be positive and cooperative members
of the community.
Port Towns School does not separate
preparation for education from preparation for
life. The process of education instructs our
students as powerfully as the educational
information which is imparted. The School's
commitment to an education for character has
made Port Towns unique and a model for
others. We are proud of our school, the
quality of our educational programs, and,
most importantly, of the articulate,
self-confident, and responsible citizens our
students become.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our
website.

Port Towns School Mission Statement
Port Towns School honors the integrity
and worth of each individual within a
diverse school community. Port Towns is
dedicated to providing a supportive
educational atmosphere in which teachers
challenge the intellectual, creative, and
physical abilities of our students and
foster strength of character and concern for
others. From the earliest grades, we
encourage our students to wonder, to
inquire, and to be self-reliant, laying the
foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
