Welcome to the kindergarten page!
Andrea Jones - Teacher

Welcome to kindergarten!  I am very happy to have your child in my kindergarten class this year.  We have so much to learn about being in school, social skills, and becoming emergent readers that it may be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the following information about kindergarten:

Daily Schedule:
Our daily schedule consists of Language Arts - Reading, Writing, Handwriting, Phonics, Math, Social Studies, Science, Health, Music, Physical Education, and Art.

Classroom Behavior
Please remind your child that school is a place to learn.  In order to learn, the children must listen and follow classroom rules at all times.

School Supplies
Please make sure that all students have glue, crayons and 2 pencils every day.

Homework
Homework is given on a daily basis.  You can also help your child at home by reading aloud every night,  and practicing letter and number identification.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  You may write me a note, or send me an email to andreaj@pgcps.org.  You may also call me at (301)918-8792.
