MANDATORY UNIFORM POLICY
Robert Frost Elementary School has a mandatory uniform policy in effect for the 2006-2007 school year. Many studies have shown that schools where students wear uniforms have significantly fewer discipline problems and student referrals. In addition to this policy, the Prince George’s County Public Schools also has a Dress Code. The Dress Code is detailed below. Students who are found to be in violation of the county dress code will be referred to the principal. The Principal will contact the parent and ask the parent to bring a change of clothes or to pick up the student for the day.
The Mandatory Uniform Policy at Robert Frost Elementary School is based on the Board of Education Policy 0600 regarding School Uniforms. The Uniform Dress Code will be as follows:
Boys Girls Navy Blue Pants or Shorts Blue and Gold Jumper, Skirt, or Skort Navy Blue Pants or Shorts Navy Blue Sweater Navy Blue Sweater Navy Blue Socks & Navy Blue Tights Navy Blue Socks Light Blue Polo Shirt Light Blue Polo Shirt Light Blue Blouse with Rounded Collar Light Blue Dress Shirt Blue and Gold Cross Tie Blue and Gold Plaid Tie Black Shoes Black Shoes All shirts, blouses, and polo tops are to be worn inside of pants with a belt if the pants have belt loops.
