In third grade our main focus in reading
is the use of the five strategies: Predict/Infer, Monitor/Clarify,
Question, Summarize, and Evaluate. One of these strategies is used on a
weekly basis throughout the year along with a weekly comprehension
skill. As your child reads nightly, he/she should practice using these
strategies.
