Philosophy

The mission of the Samuel Ogle Middle School Media Center is to ensure that students develop the research skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world of science and technology regardless of present academic skills or future occupational plans. The media center provides its student population with individual guidance, formal instruction and appropriate resources to ensure that students will become lifelong learners, independent thinkers and responsible citizens who are able to access information, present results of research effectively, use technology efficiently and responsibly and read for pleasure and personal enrichment.

Resources

The Media Center contains resources to support the instructional program. There is an extensive collection of print and non-print resources including books, magazines, newspapers, CD ROMS, computers and online databases. Students are encouraged to make a thorough of resources in it and to request assistance from the media specialist before looking elsewhere.
