For the past year and a half the William S.
Schmidt Center has been using the time and
talent of Prince George's County High School
students. In exchange for elective credit
and community service hours,
students are trained in the camp's
curriculum. Students assist with every
aspect of a visiting school's overnight
trip; from co-teaching classes to organizing
marshmallow toasting at the campfire.
Visiting teachers and parents have found our
"Environmental Interns" to be well prepared,
polite, responsible and enthusiastic.
Please call
301-888-1185 if your school is interested in
offering the Environmental Intern Program to
your high school's 10-12th graders. |
