High School Resources

TUTORING

  • Tiers 1, 2, and 3 This program is designed to lend support to students who need help in passing the HSA Exams.  These classes include English 10, Biology, Algebra 1, and LSN/Govt.  Tier one was designed for those students who needed only 1 or 2 additional points to meet the composite score for passing the exams.  Tier 2 was designed to help those students who were taking the exam for the FIRST time.  Tier 3, which is occurring, operates M-Th 3:15 - 4:30 and Saturday's from 10:00am to 1:00pm in the following locations: English 10 - Room 277, Biology - Room 135, Algebra I - Room 210, and LSN Govt. - Room 257.
     
  • English Tutoring  after school.  Available for all grade levels including SAT and AP. Tutoring held Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:20-4:30 in the Media Center.  Please bring your books and other materials.
     
  • Cooperative Learning Center (CLC) - Science Tutoring available in Room 114A, 3:30-4:30, Monday - Thursday.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for great volunteers to assist in parks and recreation programs.  There are a variety of opportunities and many positions are flexible.  Some positions are year round and some are short term.  Click on the above logo to link to volunteer positions and how to apply.


 

Chesapeake Bay Alliance

Project Clean Stream, an annual stream and shoreline clean-up, takes place Saturday, April 5, 2008, 9am to Noon.  Sites range across Central Maryland and the Eastern Shore in urban, suburban, and rural settings.  Volunteers are needed to help as general crew.  Supplies provided on-site.  Wear clothes and shoes that can get muddy.
