Online learning is flexible, convenient, and a good learning style for many people! But, it is not for everyone! Use our web site to determine if you would benefit from the online experience
The Instructional Technology Department provides flexible options to teachers and students for high-quality online learning. These options are provided to meet different learning styles and the demands of life styles and competing responsibilities.
The Department of Instructional Technology encourages the use of e-learning options and e-community by identifying and offering high quality online Professional Development courses to teachers and high-quality online courses to students. The e-Learning office utilizes design, content, and compliance tools developed jointly by MSDE and the Project OPEN consortium to evaluate commercial and locally developed online courses.
The e-learning program staff also develops or identifies high quality technology tutorials which may be used by PGCPS staff to increase their efficiency in applications required to meet the Maryland Teacher Technology Standards and the new Maryland Technology Literacy Standards for Students.
