Code of Conduct
Gross Misconduct refers to willful to malicious acts and are expellable offenses
  • Arson
  • False Alarms
  • Assault with serious injury
  • Fireworks or Explosives
  • Inciting others to violence
  • Physical attack on any Prince George’s County System Employee
  • Possession or use of weapons or instruments used as such
  • Shakedown and/or Strong Arm
  • Possession, use or distribution of alcohol, controlled dangerous substances, controlled or drug paraphernalia, imitation controlled substances, other intoxicants
  • Vandalism and/or destruction of property-above $500
  • Group fighting which has been planned, causes material disruption to the school day or results in significant injury
  • Acts of Gross Misconduct at Other Schools

    The following misconduct is considered suspension offenses but may be expellable also.
  • Repeated Disruptive Conduct
  • Bullying
  • Contaminating food
  • Disrespect
  • Hazing
  • Inciting Others to violence or disruption
  • Cheating
  • Continued Class Disruption
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Threat to a PGCPS Employee
  • Unauthorized possession, use, or distribution of over-the-counter medication
  • False Report
  • Fighting
  • Forgery
  • Gambling
  • Insubordination
  • Trespassing
  • Reckless Endangerment
