In order to register a student in
the Prince George's County Public Schools, the following is needed:
1. Proof of Residency:
A house contract, lease agreement or resident manager's letter is acceptable;
If the family is living in the residence of a friend or relative, a
notarized statement signed by both parent and homeowner/leaseholder
must be provided, in addition to the lease/house contract.
2. Proof of Birth/Citizenship: (Originals)
Birth Certificate. Social Security Card
Passport, alien card or 1-94 (arrival/departure record) if available.
Students must be accompanied by the person with whom they live, either
a parent or a court appointed guardian or legal custodian. Please bring
parental/guardian identification.
Information about legal custody may be obtained from the Circuit Court.

3. Evidence of Up-to-Date Immunizations: (Original)
Maryland law requires every student to be immunized against DPT (diphtheria,
pertussis,
tetanus), polio, MMR (measles, mumps, rubella). Complete dates (day,
month and year) for every dose of immunization are required.
The prince George's County Health Department provides free immunizations.

4. Documentation of Previous Educational Program:
School records/original transcripts in the native language and official
translations if available. (Required for high school students for accurate
grade level placement.)
