DATA RESULTING AND SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE:
The scores from each of the subtests along with grades in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies from the four quarters of the previous school year and the first quarter of the current school year are combined to create a total score. The total score provides the basis for selection to the High School Science and Technology Program. Approximately 2,500 students take this examination, although over 3,000 applications are filed by the time the examination is administered. Nearly twenty percent of the students taking the examination are offered admission to the Program.
