Preschool Program

Tulip Grove has a a full-day pre-kindergarten program.  Registration opens March 31, 2008.

Your child must have been born between September 2, 2003 – September 1, 2004.

             Documents needed to register:

1.      Proof of income (i.e. 2 current pay stubs or tax return)  (Applicants with over-income parents will be enrolled after October 1, 2008 on a space available basis. )

2.      Proof of Birth – One of the Following:

1. Original Birth Certificate
2. Original Hospital Certificate
3. Original Physician’s Certificate
4. Passport/Visa

3.      The child’s Social Security card or number

4.     Proof of Residence (If the proof of residence is in someone other than the parent’s name, you must bring that person’s proof  of residence along with a notarized statement signed by the parent and the person with whom the parent lives.  The form to be notarized can be obtained by the school.) – One of the Following:

1. Property Tax Bill in Parent/Guardian’s Name
2. Monthly Mortgage Statement in Parent/Guardian’s Name
3. Settlement Papers in Parent/Guardian’s Name
4. Rental Agreement in Parent/Guardian’s Name
5. Deed of Property in Parent/Guardian’s Name

5.      Immunization  Record

1. 4 - DTa/DTP
2. 3 – Polio
3.  3 – HIB
4. 1 – MMR (2ND MMR must be received prior to entering Kindergarten)
5. 1 - Varicella
6. 3 – HEP B
7. Prevnar (PCV7)

Applications will be reviewed and a letter concerning acceptance or waiting list status will be mailed by June 23, 2008.

To register a child for the 2008-2009 school year, please come to the school office during school hours.  We recommend calling ahead (301-805-2680) to let us prepare.  Registration for Kindergarten begins March 31.

 Bus Information

Bus information can be found at on the PGCPS web page.  Input your address and your bus schedule will appear.  A letter from the Transportation Department will be mailed with your bus schedule.
