SIRS DISCOVERER   Along with an encyclopedia, dictionary, and thesaurus, this database includes carefully selected full-text articles and images from more than 1,600 newspapers, magazines, online sources, and government documents.  (Email Mrs. Clemens for the User ID and password.) 
 
Grolier Online Includes the full text of The New Book of Knowledge®: Reference and current events for elementary readers and up, as well as Lands and Peoples: Up-to-date information for country and state reports, plus Mexican state articles in Spanish and America the Beautiful: State-by-state history and current events

World Book Online Reference Center: The premier online reference source--containing an atlas, a dictionary, and every article from the 22-volume encyclopedia print set plus thousands more. With state-of-the art multimedia, editor-reviewed Web sites, and more!  Encyclopedia available in English and Spanish.  (Email Mrs. Clemens for the UserI D and password.)
 

CultureGrams:  Contains engaging cultural, geographical, and historical information on foreign countries and each of the 50 states (plus the District of Columbia). They also include printable U.S., state, and country detail and outline maps, as well as state county maps and state bird audio files. (Email Mrs. Clemens for the User ID and password.  It's the same as the one for SIRS and Worldbook.) 
Homework and School from the Prince George's County Public Library KidCenter.  You'll find databases and web sites for social studies, famous people, art, science, dictionaries and encyclopedias, and much more.  Remember, you may need your public library card number to sign in to some of the databases.  (Don't forget to check their catalog to see if they have some books you can use.)
