I would like to thank all of you for a great opening to our school year and welcome you to be a part of The Renaissance of William Wirt Middle School. We have the highest expectations for all of our students and know that they can and will learn at high levels. Children are our business and parents are truly our partners.

This year one of our major initiatives is for every child to visit at least one university. We want all our students to envision themselves in the highest academic arena and that occurs at the university level. We have just completed our sixth grade visitation to the University of Maryland and have scheduled our seventh and eighth grade visits for later this semester.
