Elementary, middle, and high school students celebrated the opening of the school system's first-ever 3D art exhibit at Bowie Center for the Performing Arts. The exhibit, "Exploring the Realm of 3D Art," features more than 75 student works on display through January 7.

"This is the first opportunity our students have had to display three dimensional work (ceramics and sculpture)," said Elizabeth Stuart Whitehead, PGCPS Visual Art Instructional Supervisor. "Typically our exhibits have been focused on two-dimensional work: paintings, drawings, printmaking. We are extremely proud of the level of participation and skill from all parts of the county at all levels."

Featured art includes tea pots, cups, bowls, masks, animals, trees and abstract works.
