A student in Roosevelt's Science and Technology Program, Daelyn holds a 4.07 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, Pom and Dance Team and Acapella Club.

She is also a Peer Forward (formerly College Summit) Peer Leader, working to inform, engage and assist peers on the path toward higher education. As a Peer Leader, Daelyn developed a website for the school's Peer Forward team that offers information and resources on life after high school.

Daelyn's own post-high school plans include attending college with a double major in psychology and visual arts. She hopes to pursue a career as a sports psychologist or filmmaker/editor.

When she’s not performing, she enjoys broadcasting sports events.
