  • I met some of my most dearest friends and favorite teachers at PGCPS. I can remember my experiences singing in the Largo High School Choir under the direction of Dr.Jeremiah Murphy. We had more than two hundred members and traveled to London, England as well as other places across the United States. I am a proud alumni of PGCPS, which makes it even more fulfilling to now be working in this district serving students.

    - Alexis Pike, Largo High School, Class of 1997

I attended Arrowhead ES, James Madison MS and, Frederick Douglass HS. The dedicated teachers and leaders became my treasured mentors and colleagues when I began teaching. I truly give credit to my PGCPS experiences for preparing me for college and the life that followed.

    - Andrea M. Thomas-Munson, Frederick Douglass High School, Class of 1985

When I think about all of the teachers, administrators, staff members and experiences in my life that have contributed to where I am in my career today, my education through PGCPS definitely stands out. The dedication and commitment of my former teachers and administrators was top notch.Twenty years later, many of those individuals still hold positions in this County and I can now call them colleagues. I am not only a product of PGCPS, but now a dedicated employee of the same system that taught me as a youngster!

    - Marissa Thomas, Bowie High School, Class of 1996

My experiences as a student were enlightening and prepared me for life. I appreciated the diversity in teachers and seeing others who looked like me. There were many opportunities to explore various programs such as biotechnology, computer technology, performing arts, and so much more. I believe in PGCPS!
