    Preparing for a Portfolio Review

    COVID-19 UPDATE:

Due to COVID-19, the Home Schooling Office will not meet with parents face-to-face for Spring 2019-2020. Continuing parents that received a compliant winter review are advised to check their email for the correspondence sent on May 15, 2020.  Additionally, Annual Verification to Continue Home Schooling is now available for continuing parents by logging into the Parent Portal.

According to the Code of Maryland Regulations for Home Instruction, home schooling parents must have a minimum of two portfolio reviews each year. A portfolio review is a time that the local school system portfolio reviewers meet with the home instruction parent or legal guardian to ensure the student is receiving regular, thorough instruction during the school year in studies usually taught in the public school.
