Description:
Spanish Immersion courses prepare students to communicate authentically in Spanish by interpreting (reading, listening, viewing), exchanging (speaking and listening; reading and writing), and presenting (speaking, writing) information about standards-based academic content and incorporate the relationships among the products, practices, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking cultures. Students in this course are introduced to more sophisticated writing techniques and required to produce more complex writing that reflects more elaborate understanding of author’s craft. Students continue to develop skills for oral presentation and collaborative conversation. In addition, students begin to routinely respond to texts in written form.
