Description:
Spanish Immersion courses prepare students to communicate authentically in Spanish by interpreting (reading, listening, viewing), exchanging (speaking and listening; reading and writing), and presenting (speaking, writing) information about standards-based academic content and incorporate the relationships among the products, practices, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking cultures. Students in this course continue to read a variety of appropriately leveled texts across genres and text types. Students learn to decode words and read text accurately at an adequate rate according to grade level Foundational Skills. Reading strategies are reinforced to aid in comprehension.
