Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Blueprint Initiatives, the Grants Technician II will perform diverse and complex technical and administrative duties to support program managers and staff with Blueprint reporting to increase the accountability and effective development and management of initiatives, and ensure program compliance. The incumbent of this position will develop professional development events and conduct training on best practices for staff to provide technical assistance and support Blueprint development and management.  The Grants Technician II will manage and oversee regular status reporting to state and district leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in preparing, reviewing and submitting reports, updates and required documentation related to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future;
  • Maintains detailed and organized records of all Blueprint-related grants, including proposals, approvals, amendments, financial reports and compliance documentation;
  • Assists in compiling data for required local and state reports, particularly those tied to Blueprint for Maryland’s Future accountability measures;
  • Serves as a liaison between departments and Blueprint project teams regarding grants-related documentation and procedural needs;
  • Assists with internal communication to ensure alignment with Blueprint grant goals, timelines and deliverables;
  • Ensures that all grant files are audit-ready and compliant with federal, state and local regulations, including Blueprint-specific accountability mandates;
  • Tracks the status of grant submissions and monitors deadlines to ensure timely and accurate reporting;
  • Generates standard and ad-hoc reports to support internal and external audits or stakeholder requests; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling systems, filing practices and office management;
  • Strong working knowledge of productivity tools (Microsoft Office/Google Suite, databases, meeting platforms and scheduling software);
  • Familiarity with the PGCPS Strategic Plan and Blueprint for Maryland’s Future pillars, goals and reporting expectations;
  • Ability to compile reports, maintain databases and ensure version control for documents;
  • Ability to provide seamless support for leadership, including prepping briefing materials and handling confidential matters;
  • Ability to carry out assignments with minimal direction; and
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Completion of high school diploma or GED required.  A minimum of four (4) years of analyst and/or administrative work required.

Certification:

None required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
