Graduate of an approved teacher preparation program that leads to teacher licensure 


Holds a valid  Maryland or Out-of-State teaching Teaching license 


Successfully completed student teaching internship


Completed and passed all state assessments that lead to teacher licensure 





Holds a valid  Maryland or Out-of-State teaching Teaching license 


Successfully completed student teaching internship 



Minimum of five years of teaching experience




Completed and passed all state assessments that lead to teacher licensure 


Former PGCPS teacher interested in returning to service

Graduate of a non-education program and hold a conferred Bachelor's degree



Never held a Maryland or Out-of-State teaching license



Need one (1) or more Praxis Assessment



Ideal Candidate would be considered for one of the following: 


Resident Teacher Program

Maryland Conditional Educator

Programs designed for PGCPS staff and students interested in becoming an educator


Never held a Maryland or Out-of-State teaching license



Needs one (1) or more Praxis Assessments



Ideal Candidates would be considered for one of the following:


Support to Teacher Program

Conditionals Educator Program (CEP)

Academy of Health Sciences Teacher Preparatory Program (Graduated with an Associates Degree in Teaching)
