Meet the Media Specialist Ms. Jackson!

I am a graduate of South Carolina State University and majored in Early Childhood Education. I recently completed my training for a Master's in Educational Technology from Loyola University of Maryland.

I am a certified Early Childhood Educator. This is my seventh year teaching at District Heights Elementary School. I have taught Kindergarten for 3 years, 3rd grade for 2 years, 5th grade for 2 years and this is my first year as the Media Specialist.

I'm super excited about this new position and hope to share resources with students, staff and parents! With your continued support we will make this an EXCELLENT YEAR!!

Vision

The vision is for DHES to have a fully operational media center whereby the students and staff are gaining exposure to the Library Media Services (LMS curriculum and all available PGCPS programs/platforms to enhance instruction and learning opportunities.
