Greetings, Robert Goddard Montessori Community,

Welcome back to another week of teaching and learning at RGMS!

MCAP continues this week for students in grades 3 to 8. Please ensure students get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast. Also, testing students must arrive at school on time this week. All students are late after 9:15 a.m. Students may bring a healthy snack to eat after their testing session is over daily. Thank you in advance for your partnership.

I have exciting news to share with the community this week! Please read below:

First, twenty-two of our students in grades Pre-K to eighth grade wrote books that placed first, second, third, and honorable mention in the annual PGCPS Write-A-Book program. Thank you, Mr. Galang, for supporting the students during the writing process; it is a testament to our students' creativity and talent. Mr. Galang will post the winners and book titles on our website by the end of the week.

Next, I am proud to announce that our sustainable Green School status application has been approved! Thank you to Ms. Deprez, Ms. Galloway, Ms. Wescott, the middle school green team, our upper elementary students for leading the work, and our entire school community for their commitment to protecting the environment.

Lastly, we have five new members in the RGMS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Congratulations to Caspaen Jackson, Lourize Valenzuela, Nathan Jones, Samantha Gumtang, and Jaeden Sergenton. We are very proud of their accomplishments!
