Pre-Kindergarten Program

Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center's pre-kindergarten full-day program offers an excellent educational learning experience to income-eligible 4-year-old students. It is designed to enhance school readiness by teaching alphabet letters & words, math concepts, and social skills. With the daily activities children participate in:

  • Whole-group instruction;
  • Small-group activities that provide skill-based learning in math and literacy;
  • Child-directed play in learning centers to reinforce academic concepts, communicate with others, and improve language skills;
  • Skill-building activities for extra practice and improvement in core skill areas;
  • Arts Integration lessons (such as Theatre, Music, & Visuals Arts) that nurture creativity and promote self-expression across content areas;
  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities such as identifying emotions, assisting peers, and  making new friends;
  • Physical Activities that boost physical abilities and developing a healthy body.

Through these activities, children will be prepared with foundational knowledge and skills essential for success in kindergarten.

The pre-kindergarten program does not only help children learn, explore, and discover their fullest potentials but also encourage a very beneficial partnership between parents, teachers, and the community.
