Canvas of Culture: PGCPS Hispanic Heritage Month Art & Photo Challenge
The Challenge
Create an original drawing, painting, illustration, or photograph that honors a Latino leader who inspires you.
You can choose anyone who makes or has made a positive impact! Here are a few ideas:
- Famous & Historical Figures: Scientists, artists, athletes, authors, or trailblazers from the past or present.
- School Heroes: A teacher, principal, bus driver, counselor, cafeteria worker, or librarian in your school.
- Family & Community: A parent, grandparent, neighbor, small business owner, or friend who helps others.

Tell Us Your Story
Include a short note (2-3 simple sentences) answering:
- Who is the Latino leader in your artwork?
- How do they inspire you or help shape a better future?
The deadline to submit is October 5, 2026. Selected artwork will be showcased on the PGCPS website and our social media channels the week of October 12th.
Submissions must be clear, high-resolution photos.
