Forward By Design: Get Ready for the 15th Annual PGCPS Back-to-School Fair!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 8, 2026, for the 15th Annual PGCPS Back-to-School Fair at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex. Under this year's theme, “Forward By Design,” this free event is designed to provide our students and families with everything you need to start the new school year.
Beat the Crowd: Arrive Early for the Ribbon-Cutting Kickoff! (8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.)
Want to make the most of your morning? Plan to arrive early!
The excitement starts at 8:30 a.m. with our official Ribbon-Cutting Pre-Show and Kickoff Ceremony! Be there as we officially open the doors and set the tone for an incredible event and academic year. Win big with our early-bird raffles and exclusive giveaways!
What's Waiting for You Inside (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
Whether you have a kindergartner stepping into school for the first time or a rising high school senior, our back-to-school fair is packed with activities, resources, and fun for all ages:
- Free Backpack & School Supply Giveaways: Pick up a free backpack and school supplies to kickstart the new school year, while supplies last!
- Exciting Prizes & Raffles: Show up for the supplies, stay for the surprises! We'll have prize giveaways happening throughout the event.
- Live Student Performances ALL Day: The mainstage will be buzzing from start to finish! Come cheer on our incredibly talented PGCPS student performers—featuring live performances by the Largo High School Drumline, the Charles Herbert Flowers High School Cheerleaders and Dance Team, and the Laurel High School Spartan Singers, live from the McDonald's Mainstage!
- Health & Community Resources: Connect directly with key PGCPS offices, healthcare providers, and community partners offering vital support ahead of the new school year.
