  • The tax sheltered annuity (TSA) plan is administered by U.S. OMNI&TSACG Compliance Services
  • These are voluntary plans whereby all employees are eligible to enroll at any time by opening an account with a participating investment provider.
  • All employees of the school system are allowed to contribute part of their wages toward retirement on a pre-taxed basis
  • Employee voluntary contributions:
    • The maximum calendar year contribution is specified in the IRS Code 
    • Both traditional and Roth options are available
    • PGCPS does not contribute to the TSA plans

About the Plan

Steps to open a Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) and set up automatic payroll deduction

  1. Select a vendor(s) from the List of Approved Vendors
  2. Contact the vendor(s) to open the account
  3. Employees can choose a traditional and or Roth option
  4. Complete the appropriate online Salary Reduction Agreement Form(s) 403(b) and/or 457(b)
  5. If you need assistance completing the Salary Reduction Agreement please contact OMNI at 1-877-544-6664
  6. If you believe you are eligible for the service based catch-up please complete the Service Based Catch-up Request Form and submit to OMNI for verification and approval
