Prince George's County Board of Education Enacts Policy on Interacting with Immigration Enforcement Agents
Upper Marlboro, MD – The Prince George's County Board of Education is pleased to announce the passage of a new policy titled “Interacting with Immigration Enforcement Agents”, aimed at ensuring the safety, rights, and well-being of all students and staff across the district. The policy will be officially enacted at the Board's meeting on March 26, 2026.
The policy provides clear guidance for school staff and administrators on how to respond when immigration enforcement agents are present on school property. It reinforces the district's commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive without fear of discrimination or disruption.
Prince George's County Public Schools is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for every student. This policy ensures that our schools remain safe spaces where students' rights are protected, and where educators know how to respond appropriately in situations involving immigration enforcement.
