Fairwood Elementary School

Project Overview

Fairwood Elementary School is a new 85,000-square-foot facility under construction in Bowie, MD, as part of Prince George’s County Public Schools’ Blueprint Phase 2 P3 initiative. The school will replace the former Woodmore Elementary and is scheduled for completion by Summer 2027, with opening planned for the 2027–2028 school year. Developed through a public-private partnership led by Progressive Education Partners, the project aims to deliver a modern, sustainable learning environment for students.

Blueprint Phase II Design

The architects for Phase II created two design options for the eight schools in this phase. Like in Phase I, using prototypes helps speed up construction and lower costs, so students and staff can enjoy updated facilities sooner.
