International High School at Langley Park

Project Overview

The proposed International High School in Langley Park is a 58,000 square-foot facility designed to serve 400 students and 34 faculty and staff. Aligned with the PGCPS Strategic Plan and the International School Network model, the school aims to provide a sustainable, collaborative learning environment that supports student well-being and academic success. The design emphasizes an inviting, deinstitutionalized atmosphere while incorporating both passive and active security features to ensure a safe and secure experience.

The project targets LEED Gold certification and incorporates evidence-based design strategies to promote health and learning. Planned construction methods include sustainable, modular techniques to stay within the $23 million budget. The campus is envisioned as an integrated neighborhood asset with shared-use potential and will include parking accommodations for up to 40 vehicles. The school is anticipated to open in Fall 2021.
