Kenmoor Middle School is a new 1,200-student, two-story building located in the Palmer Park, Glenarden, and Kentland communities. Designed to support 21st-century learning, the 144,800-square-foot school features STEAM labs, a media center, video production studio, art and music rooms, a gymnatorium, and outdoor learning spaces. Classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards, enhanced sound systems, and high-speed connectivity. The building meets LEED Silver Equivalent standards and includes energy-efficient systems, advanced air filtration, and secure design features.
Part of the Blueprint Schools Phase I program, Kenmoor was delivered through a public-private partnership with a 30-year maintenance agreement and a project budget of $67 million.
