Quarter 1 - Students will study the history of theatre from Greeks to Shakespeare, reading selected plays and tracing the history of theatre into dramatic texts generated at particular times and places.
Quarter 2 - Students will study the history of Western Europe and the U.S. from the end of the 17th century to present, focusing on the production of theatre in its historical, social and ideological contexts. Students will study representative plays.
