Description:
The communication skills begun in the first year of the language are continued. Greater emphasis is placed on oral proficiency, listening, reading, and writing in the target language. Grammatical concepts are taught in the context of real-world usage of languages. Students who would like to take high school Advanced Placement (AP) courses in a world language must begin level 1 by grade 7 or 8.
