Description:
In this course students will focus specifically on professional dance/technical theater skills to create, plan, operate and utilize all of the necessary skills to produce a professional performance. Students will take an in depth hands on approach to learning all of the roles and tasks that are required to produce a performance/show/event, analyzing and implementing productive time management skills; organizing theater crafts and techniques involved in dance production such as lighting, sound, costume design, set and costume design and construction, stage management, and finance planning. Production components and participation beyond the regular school day are required to support school and or county related performances and events. Participation in the set-up, duration of the performance/event and break-down of the theater components will count as an assessment grade.
