Description:
The purpose of this course is to help students become critical viewers of Mass Media and become aware of the pervasive effects of Mass Media on society. Students will examine how new media technologies expand conventional types of communication, and they will trace the evolution of technology, content, audiences, and multiple delivery methods. Additionally, students will analyze the journalism industry as it evolves with the digital landscape toward immersive journalism and experiment with changes in its business model.
