Description:
This course is designed to expose students to the skills and competencies necessary to experience success in a career and technical education program of study as well as prepare them to make sound choices about college and career opportunities. Emphasis will be placed on acquiring industry-specific knowledge, technical employability skills, college and career awareness and exploration, basic financial literacy, expanded higher ordering thinking, and improved study skills. Students will also be engaged in a variety of strategies to improve and to enrich mathematical and literacy skills. Upon completion of this course, students will be required to present a written career plan and portfolio that reflects their designated area of study.
