This course prepares students to apply academic, technical knowledge and skills to a variety of settings within the firefighting response. This course is designed with lessons in fire behavior, safety,building construction, fire department equipment and tools. A partnership with Prince George's County Fire Department will provide practical hands on experiences to prepare students for certifications (CPR, HAZMAT, Incident Management Command Systems, Rescue Tech Ops ad Vehicle Mechanical Extraction) required to proceed to fire fighter II
