This class introduces students to multiple aspects of law enforcement and the criminal justice system. Students explore the criminal process, forces that affect the enforcement of laws and the rights of citizens. Students in the Administration of Justice 1 course study the history of the legal system, the development of court system, the criminal justice process, the various external forces that impact the justice systems, the rights of citizens, and the role of ethics in the justice system. This course provides students an overview of the United States legal system and the process of criminal justice.
