Description:
The course provides students with a disability of Autism, specific social skills instruction, in order to address goals and objectives on the student's Individual Education Program (IEP) thereby increasing access to the general education curriculum. Course curriculum covers various topics including individual learning strategies,disability awareness, goal setting, self advocacy, executive functioning strategies, organizational skills, managing anxiety and stress, resiliency, and test taking strategies, that will enhance academic performance across all content areas. This class is delivered in a small class environment.
