Students enrolled in this course should be concurrently enrolled in English 10. The focus of the course is to provide students with additional instructional opportunities aimed at mastery of the Maryland College and Career Readiness standards. Students will get more experience with complex texts, writing, academic vocabulary and close reading strategies.
